WHAT IS TAI CHI?
Tai Chi is the fruit of an ancient Chinese tradition that dates back to the 12th century and has been practiced ever since then.
Tai Chi was also practiced by both Buddhist and Taoist monks who developed several different styles over time, each with its own specifics and methods.
The Tai Chi styles include Chen, Sun, Yang, Zhao, and Wu style.
The whole practice involves a series of slow and focused movements, which are performed with proper concentration. Something similar to yoga, but with dance elements. Or, if you find it easier – slow karate.
The exercise begins with a movement that leads to a series of postures that are performed slowly, without breaks, because the goal is to maintain constant motion of the body, while the energy – chi, should pass through your body without obstacles.

The muscles and joints are not overloaded while performing Tai Chi exercises, this technique can be practiced by people of all ages.
That is, Tai Chi is recommended to those who have not exercised for a long time and those who have never exercised at all, both elderly and young people.
In a word, Tai Chi can be practiced by anyone.
What makes this technique so attractive is that it is so easy to learn the exercises. Also, you do not have to buy special equipment in order to practice Tai Chi.
All you have to do is find a location in your city where Tai Chi is practiced, and join the group. Although practicing Tai Chi is generally safe, still, Tai Chi is not recommended for pregnant women or people with osteoporosis and bone fractures.

Though there are many books, and recently there have been many videos that will show you the system of exercises, we sincerely recommend that you find a place where the classes are run by an instructor.
Join the group for a month or two, so you can at least understand the basics of Tai Chi, learn breathing techniques, and positions your body must master.
The exercises with an instructor will ensure safety during your balance and coordination, as well as a better perspective of this wonderful system of exercises wherewith your health will be improved.
