Five Ways to Make a Spa Treatment from Your Bath

Isn't it fair to share?

On most days, you will only have time for a quick shower. However, if you had a busy day full of stress, perhaps it is time to have a spa treatment right there in your bath.

Who says that you have to go to a spa center and pay to relax? Quickly clean your tub and apply these five steps to have your own homemade spa experience.

Add Some Candles

The trick is to make the atmosphere right from the moment when you enter the bathroom. The first thing you want to take care of is the lighting. Instead of turning on the light bulbs, think about adding some candles to make the light just right.

Purchase candles with scents that will relax you, such as rose, jasmine, or lavender. Don’t be afraid to experiment with placing them everywhere in the bathroom so that you get the lighting you will enjoy.

The Element of Music

When you enter a spa and hear the music playing, it seems like immediately all your stress is gone and you are feeling relaxed. This is the goal you want to strive to at home. You can find all sorts of playlists online. Are you a fan of piano instrumentals or rainforest and ocean sounds?

Perhaps you are a fan of music used for meditation? Go with whatever works for you, but make sure to find rhythmic music with not a lot of dynamic because you want to relax.

Take Advantage of Bath Salts

Not only this is an excellent way of adding to the entire homemade spa experience, but this will help both our body and mind to relax. Make sure to choose a top-quality salt soak that should ideally contain salts from the Dead Sea or the Himalayas.

These have the generous mineral amount and are great for rejuvenating your skin and getting rid of the toxins. As an added bonus, they will also help you relax muscles that may be sore after a stressful day or intense training.

Exfoliating Body Scrub

This is not just about you enjoying the spa treatment, but also about doing something good for your body. You should choose a soothing exfoliating scrub, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Applying the scrub will enable you to remove the dead layer of your skin cells, but also ensure that you keep adequate skin moisture.

Invite a Partner

Our last tip is a creative one, but it also requires you to have a bathtub big enough to accommodate one more person. If this is doable (and we really hope it is!), you have everything that you need for a romantic evening. Just imagine – you already played relaxing music and have candles all around the room.

The only thing missing is rose petals just to round up that romantic impression.

You can add as many petals as you want, whether you prefer putting only a couple of them or filling the tub with petals that will be floating while you are enjoying having a bath with your partner.
